Sinitta

40 year old Sinitta Malone was born in Seattle, Washington, and started her career at the young age of just 15 with a starring role in the movie "Shock Treatment". Sinitta was born to be a star from a young age; it’s in her genes as her mum was 70’s and 80’s disco singer Miquel Brown. A few years later she went on to star in the West End musical "Cats", and after discovering her love for music as well as acting, she turned her hand to recording music.

She released four singles before venturing back onto the West End stage in "Mutiny" in a starring role, written by and also starring David Essex. It was the year after she finished in "Mutiny" that Sinitta went onto have her first smash hit single with “So Macho”, taken from the album “Sinitta!” and thus began a music career that would span over 10 years, not just in the UK but all over Europe. Loved in particular by the gay community, “So Macho” and another of her biggest hits “Toy Boy” became cult songs in the clubs, and she is even set to re-release “Toy Boy” later this year. Her music career continued with Sinitta releasing albums “Wicked” and “Naughty, Naughty” and various other singles.

In 2004/2005 Sinitta was on ITV1 screens as a mentor, alongside Simon Cowell, on hit show "The X Factor" – assisting his contestants in their bid to win the show. May 2005 saw her perform on ITV1’s Hit Me Baby One More Time, where she battled it out against other 70’s, 80’s and 90’s popstars such as Shakin’ Stevens, Gloria Gaynor and Belinda Carlisle. Sinitta is a regular on shows such as GMTV, This Morning and Loose Women and is consistently featured in the UK tabloids and magazines.

It was announced during Christmas 2007 that Sinitta finally had her dream of children realised and she had adopted two children. She spoke of her joy to the Daily Mail and the Sunday Mirror and says she now feels her family is complete. She celebrated her first Mothers Day in 2008 which was an amazing experience for Sinitta.

Over Easter of 2008 Sinitta appeared on Channel 4’s Wife Swap – trading places with the wife of ex Coronation Street star Bruce Jones for a week. She gained a massive ten pounds during the swap due to the severe lifestyle change and the show proved to be quite the eye opener.

The public have never shied away from Sinitta and recently her profile has risen even more than before. The way things are going Sinitta’s TV, stage and music careers look set to continue for many years to come. Sinitta has an awful lot planned for 2008 with some big things in the pipeline.
