24 year old Michael Quinn grew up in Reading and from a young age always wanted to work in the theatre and music industries. After training professionally at Laine Theatre Arts, his career became full and varied almost immediately. Michael was the lead vocalist for the inaugural voyage of the Oceana for P&O Cruises for 8 months, and was a featured soloist on A Royal Gala to celebrate the opening of the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff which was broadcast on BBC TV.

Michael has been widely involved in theatre productions for a number of years, and his credits include the title role in Jack and the Beanstalk, Dandini in Cinderella, and appearing in the televised pantomime of Dick Whittington on ITV. Michael also played Pharaoh in the 2003 UK tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, the lead role on regular occasions and ensemble parts in the West End production of Jailhouse Rock in 2004/2005, and the role of Gaston in the 2005/2006 UK tour of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

In the summer of 2007 Michael reached the final 3 in ITV1’s hit show Grease is the Word - a nationwide search for the next Danny and Sandy for the return of Grease to the West End. The show, featuring judges David Ian, David Gest, Brian Friedman and Sinitta, had Michael partnered with prospective Sandy’s Vicky Hoyle and Susan McFadden - and he was a favourite with the judges and public alike.
Following his success on the show, Michael landed a part in the third series of the hit BBC show Hotel Babylon which is due to air at the beginning of 2008. Michael toured for 2 months headlining in the show “The Music Of Dirty Dancing” in theatres nationwide. He is also appearing in panto opposite Bradley Walsh in Aladdin in Milton Keynes during the Christmas period of 2007/08. It looks like Grease really was the word for Michael.
