Kinga Karolczak, best known for her appearance in 2005’s Big Brother was born in Poland and moved to the UK at the age of 7. She grew up in London, leaving school with A* GCSE’s in Drama and Music before going on to study sound engineering in college. Drama and music have always been a big part of Kinga’s life, and she was in several school plays and sang in the Royal Albert Hall with several school choirs backing her up. Music is Kinga’s passion and she has a professionally trained voice having had lessons from an early age, and before Big Brother sang in several venues and was in her own girl band. In 2005 Kinga decided that she wanted something more, and decided to audition for Big Brother.

Kinga was put into Big Brother’s secret garden with 2 other contestants, and 2 of the 3 were to be put into the house. Kinga wasn’t chosen, although the producers saw what great television Kinga could be and decided 2 weeks later to put her in the house, replacing a housemate who had decided to leave. She caused a massive stir in the house and her bubbly personality led to her being in the final, eventually coming 4th. Kinga has no regrets about the house and believe everything happens for a reason. Since coming out of the house Kinga has not been out of the media’s spotlight. She appeared in her own documentary with BBC3 following her around for several weeks, appeared on the Trisha show and has appeared in varied media including OK! Magazine, Heat, Bliss, the Mirror, Now, Star, Love It, Best, Reveal Magazine, Closer Magazine, News of the World and many more. She also raised £15,000 for the Make a Wish foundation by posing for a picture which was auctioned off to the highest bidder.

2006 saw appearances on several primetime shows like The Friday Night Project and Whatever, and also saw a change of heart for Kinga. She lost over 3 stone with a good diet and exercise. She wanted 2007 to mark a new chapter in her life, with her growing up and fiercely concentrating on a music and acting career. She is almost unrecognisable. She had a role in British film Cash & Curry which is due to be released in spring 2008. She also ran the Race for Life for Cancer Research in the summer of 2007, raising awareness and money for a very worthy cause. She was a Big Brother columnist for 2007’s series of the hit Channel 4 show and revealed to the country how she managed to get her svelte new figure. Kinga is currently spending time in the studio with various producers recording tracks, as well as trying to expand on her acting which after Cash & Curry has become a great passion. She is keen for a move into musical theatre which we think is imminent in 2008.
